Josette is an actor, writer, director and casting director. She trained at Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts where she earned a degree in Theatre Performance.
Josette started acting in front of the camera in commercials at age 4 and hasn't stopped ever since. She holds several TV and Film credits under her belt including roles on Motive, Arctic Air, SyFy’s Stargate: Universe, and Nickelodeon’s The Troop. Her upcoming theatre credits include the Solo Collective's "Play With Monsters" and "Sisters" at the Gateway theatre.
Josette is the first recipient of Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre’s “Walk of Fame” award, which acknowledged her work with the Asian-Canadian theatre community as a director, writer and performer. She is also a recipient of the 30 under 30 award for the city of Delta. Josette has produced and performed in several award-winning films and commercials which has allowed her and her team to travel to New York for the Tribeca Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival. Microsoft Windows Canada crowned Josette the champion of their online competition "DO or DIE" where she had to survive a 10-day adventure in Lisbon, Portugal with no food, money, or shelter…just a computer and her creativity!
Josette is also an instructor at New Image College of Fine Arts in downtown Vancouver and runs a theatre program at Saint George's school every summer. Josette has a huge passion for acting and loves inspiring her students to express themselves through theatre and film.
